In the beginning of his career, Bill quickly discovered that clear communication and personable service was what clients needed most from their financial experts — aside from their math skills, of course. As an energetic people-person, Bill has since built a decades-long career on mutual trust and hard-earned industry expertise. Today, his relationship-building approach comes in handy at DeDecker Wertz CPAs, where the focus is on the customer as much as bookkeeping. Connecting with clients and transparently navigating their financial outlook, all while keeping his sense of humor, is what makes Bill Wertz an essential part of the team.

After working as an accountant and tax advisor for several years, Dan set out to bring a little more personality and individualized customer service to the industry by founding his own firm: this one! With more than 25 years of experience as a tax and accounting service provider, his personal blend of down-to-earth customer service and industry expertise makes Dan both an effective communicator and reliable business financial guide. As a skilled CPA, Dan truly loves what he does and thrives off of the success of his customers.

Kayla is a dedicated CPA with a focus on individual and business taxes. Driven by a passion for problem-solving and a commitment to client success, she leverages her Master’s in Professional Accounting to simplify complex tax matters. As a CPA, Kayla is committed to staying up-to-date on tax laws and regulations to deliver exceptional service to her clients. Outside of work, she finds relaxation and balance through yoga, while also enjoying playing fiddle in a country band and exploring the beauty of Wisconsin summers.

Meet Deb Kuzma

Deb is a seasoned administrative professional with an impressive 40 years of experience. Throughout her career, she has thrived in both public and private sector environments, honing her skills in organization, communication, and project management. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures accuracy and efficiency in everything she does.

While Deb is now semi-retired, her dedication to excellence hasn’t wavered. When she’s not lending her expertise to the firm, you can find her tending her gardens, cheering on her favorite Wisconsin sports teams, and enjoying the serenity of the Winnebago waterways with her husband Dave.

Meet Sam DeDecker

Sam is a valued member of the DeDecker Wertz CPAs team, bringing 2 years of experience and a strong foundation in business (thanks to their Bachelor’s in Business Administration). Dedicated to helping clients achieve financial success, Sam is currently pursuing their CPA license to become an even more knowledgeable resource.

Beyond their passion for numbers, Sam enjoys spending time with Blu, the beloved office mascot chihuahua. This friendly duo brings a touch of warmth and personality to the workplace. When not in busy season, you can find Sam traveling the world having been to 12 countries, with more in the pipeline.

With a 20-year background in marketing and graphics, Kristie is DeDecker Wertz’ multi-talented administrator. After so many years in a highly creative field, she finds it refreshing to work with numbers in an office full of up-beat, passionate folks. In addition to her professional skills, Kristie treats every client with the utmost importance and enjoys building relationships with all the people who come through our door. Outside of the office, Kristie enjoys live music, watching local Wisconsin sports, and spending time with her family and two cats.
